I am a Turkish-British architect and designer who works at the intersection of cultural heritage and sustainable urbanism. I have previously worked in Turkey and the UK before moving to Qatar in 2024, where I led the INTBAU (under King Charles’s patronage) Qatar chapter in Doha at Caravane Earth Foundation. I have collaborated with a range of organisations and design projects, and curated exhibitions engaging with traditional arts, architecture, and cultural dialogue. Most recently, I have delivered a world conference as part of the Earthna Summit (April 2025).
Alongside my practice, I continue to teach on an ad-hoc basis at The King’s Foundation School of Traditional Arts, where I lead design workshops exploring the connections between art, ecology, and place-making. The most recent workshop was for the Suzhou Outreach Programme in China, on courtyard designs. Previously, between 2018–2024, I co-founded an architectural studio where I developed designs in the residential, cultural, and heritage sectors in the UK, some of which are still being built today.
